This is a fleshy, muscular wine that displays wonderful texture, with rich fruit that is framed by very classy oak and lots of fresh acidity and fine-grained tannin. It wasn’t as flashy and overt as most of the wines listed above it here, but I don’t doubt that it will surpass many of them over the longer term.
