Firmly-structured, with evident but pliable tannins, this is a serious Alexander Valley Cabernet that can hold its own with other wines from the region costing considerably more. It offers the sort of warm, satisfying appeal and fruit-filled personality that distinguishes the best Alexander Valley Cabs, but is in no sense simple or one-dimensional.
