Cono Sur, Colchagua Valley (Chile) Carmenère 2008

Jan 13, 2010

By Michael Apstein

Carmenère, a variety formerly popular in Bordeaux, has found a new home in Chile, where it flourishes.  This mid-weight wine has an appealing spice and earthiness that acts as a good counterpoint to its ripe fruit profile.  It’s easy to enjoy with pizza.
