This version of Roar’s Rosella’s Vineyard Pinot Noir is a blend of Pisoni, 777 and Pommard clones. The aromas delivered include cherry, strawberry, menthol, sage, black tea and dry earth. The palate is very dry, with vibrant acidity and nicely integrated flavors. It has a touch of heat on the finish, but it doesn’t seem to detract from the brightness of the wine overall. I would lean toward a red meat and mushroom based pairing here.
