B.R. Cohn is generally associated most closely with top-notch Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, so Pinot Noir from this producer seems a bit of a stretch. Not so, however, as this beauty from Russian River Valley vineyards demonstrates. With an earthy, forest-floor bouquet and intense aromas of black cherry and strawberry, it is lush and supple on the palate and thoroughly charming.
