Terrific Merlot — and no, that is not a contradiction in terms. Rich red fruit, balanced oak toast and spice and hints of leaf and cocoa make for a very attractive, delicious expression. An easy to love wine that’s got some staying power. It will work with meats from burgers to steak. Merlot is finding a nice home in Umpqua Valley. A Platinum Award Winner at the 2018 Monterey International Wine Competition.
