A remarkably fine and sophisticated wine at any price under $35, this actually rings up for less than half that sum, at $17. Stated differently, this doesn’t just stand out on grounds of value, but also on sheer quality, based on layered aromas and flavors of red and black fruit, relatively restrained vanillin oak, and subtle savory undertones. The oak and tannin are unobtrusive in the wine’s finish, yet they provide welcome framing and grip. A Double Gold award winner at the 2018 Toast of the Coast Wine Competition.
