Lodi is a rather unlikely location for Albariño, which is famed for doing well in climates that are cool and wet, neither of which characterize conditions in Lodi. Be that as it may, this certainly does smell and taste like Albariño (faint honeysuckle and peach), and though a little more acidity would be welcome in the finish, the winemaker cleverly freshened this with the faintest spritz of un-resolved carbon dioxide from the fermentation. A Double Gold award winner at the 2018 Toast of the Coast Wine Competition.
