This is the wine that put Donnafugata on the map, a blend of Nero d’Avola, Syrah and Petit Verdot, with a few other unnamed grape varieties thrown in for fun. The 2012 is rich and spicy, with impressive depth, a savory palate and a lingering finish. The tannins are nicely integrated. Serve it with rich meat stews, roasted meats or game.
