The Blend is Cabernet Sauvignon (40 percent), Merlot (24), Carmenere (23) Petit Verdot (10) and Cabernet Franc (3). The Cabernet dominates with notes of blackberry and cassis and the Merlot lends a gentle herbal note that conjures up comparisons to young Bordeaux. On the palate the wine is elegant and well balanced, with smooth tannins and a long, lingering finish. Exceptional value.
