Giesen, Marlborough (New Zealand) Syrah 2011

May 6, 2014

By Robert Whitley

Cool-climate syrah tends to be spicy, with notes of white pepper that dominate on the nose. This wine is a beautiful example of the genre. The 2011 delivers lovely, rich blue fruits that evolve and open in the glass. It is firmly structured, with excellent depth and richness and a long, inviting finish.
