Attilio Ghisolfi, Barolo (Italy) 2008

Apr 29, 2014

By Robert Whitley

This is an outstanding Barolo that has it all, beginning with an intriguing nose of black truffles, forest floor and bing cherries. On the palate it is powerful and firm, a wine that will improve over time, but with layers of fruit aroma behind that formidable wall of tannin. A Barolo lover’s Barolo. Give this wine another five to ten years in the cellar and watch it blossom.
