Castello Di Amorosa, Anderson Valley (California) Gewurztraminer 2016

I’d rush to get some of this wine — at 627 cases produced, there’s a fair amount, but word will spread like wildfire from the tasting room at the castle about the summertime possibilities of this delightful Gewurztraminer.  It’s wildly floral on the nose, with classic lychee and spice notes also gaining attention.  The palate delivers the lychee and spice, with bright rocky minerality adding character to the bone dry, racy presentation that blooms on the finish.  If you’re a party of four, one bottle isn’t going to be enough.  Delicious!
