Argento, Valle de Uco (Mendoza) Malbec 2014

With a floral nose and deep notes of black fruits and spice, this is the sort of Malbec that won over consumers during the beginning of the Great Recession, when it seemed the whole world was searching for exceptional wines at bargain prices. Argentina delivered, and Argento was one of the big players as the world discovered Argentine Malbec was seriously good and relatively cheap given the quality.
