El Macho, Utiel-Requena DO (Valencia, Spain) Viura-Chardonnay 2016

I’m seeing more and more Spanish whites with this blend on the label, and I’m sure you will be too as wines of this quality make their way into the public consciousness.  It’s crisp, dry, and refreshing, focused on dry stone fruit flavors with touches of leaf and granite minerality.  The finish is zesty and blossoms for a good minute.  Very nice!  A Platinum Award winner at the 2017 Monterey International Wine Competition.
