Under Véronique Dausse’s management Château Phélan Ségur has catapulted into the top ranks. Her team produced a positively gorgeous wine in 2014. Though refined and polished, it retained the attractive gritty earthiness that makes the wines of St. Estèphe so engaging. At $40 a bottle, it is one of the best buys of the vintage.
