Duckhorn, famous far and wide for its merlot, also has a number of stunning cabernet sauvignons in its portfolio. The 2012 Patzimaro Vineyard is rich and dense, showing notes of cassis and blackberry with a generous touch of woodspice. An outstanding effort from a very good vintage.
