A fine blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignane from what must be the longest appellation name on the planet. It shows lively pepper notes that you expect from the area, with blackberry, blueberry, plum, dried herbs and soft spice, with dry dusty style, firm structure and a long finish that brings a savory note to the front. A wonderful food wine. Try this with something wild — I’m thinking roasted boar sounds perfect.
