A succulent, fairly modern-styled Rioja, Gaudium offers powerful but succulent flavors, with plum and berry flavors enhanced by echoes of dried herbs, tobacco, and leather. It shows every evidence of being able to age gracefully for five to ten more years, and is worthy of saving for a special occasion dinner.
