If you like your Rhône style wines bright and peppery, you’ll enjoy this surprise from San Diego county fruit. Is quite correct, with blackberry, cherry, blueberry, pepper, leaf, tar and spice aromas and flavors. The finish shows a little wood tannin coming forward, but it’s not obtrusive. Serve this with roasted pheasant — you’ll enjoy the match.
