The St. Andrews bottlings that I’ve tasted are typically in need of some additional bottle aging, and this vintage is no exception. Still, it’s worth writing that the bottle aging will be worth your while here. The wine currently comes off quite green and herbaceous, but the blackberry and currant flavors are evident underneath, and will only come forward as the herbal qualities integrate. I’d recommend purchasing a few bottles and forgetting about them for ten years. We’ll talk later… .
