What I find most appealing about this estate Pinot is the exquisite balance between fruit, acid and tannin. This vintage offers complex aromas of black cherry, blueberry and boysenberry supported by bright acidity and firm tannins that are beautifully integrated. It’s a keeper in the sense that it is a Pinot that has every right to improve in the bottle over the next five to seven years. The bouquet is a winner from the start, however, drawing you into the glass with lovely floral and spice notes that elevate expectations for what’s in the glass.
