Domaine la Roubine, Gigondas (Rhône Valley, France) 2012

Made from Biodynamically-raised fruit, this excellent wine shows serious ripeness but also admirably purity and expressiveness.  Open and delicious already, it is very generously flavored but not obvious or chunky.  A meaty quality underlying the fruit lends special interest, and the finish is wonderfully symmetrical and persistent.
