This is a huge and hugely expressive wine, with very dark and ripe fruit but no hint of raisining or over-extraction. On the contrary, it is admirably fresh, with remarkably pure fruit despite its glass-staining, mouth-coating profile. Intense and grippy, but graceful too, with fruit that never yields to the oak or tannins, this is a fantastic wine that will only get better for a decade.
