Portuguese reds remain something of an overlooked category among US imports.  This wine can begin to change that.  It is such a pure and exciting expression of grape and terroir that the world should take notice.  The aromas exude blackberry, raspberry and blackcurrant fruits backed by hints of cocoa, violets, cinnamon and allspice.  The flavors show layers of luscious and pure black fruits underlain by hints of raspberry, vanilla, cocoa, and cinnamon.  Its rich and subtly creamy texture gives a substantial palate impression.  Try this superb red with grilled or roasted meats, hearty stews or other autumnal fare.  Delicious now, it will cellar well for another 5 years.  Blended from 60% Touriga Nacional, 25% Touriga Franca, 10% Tinta Roriz, 5% Tinta Francisca.
