Amazingly lean, dry and Old-Worldish in style, this is not only surprising but also impressive. Impressive, that is, precisely for what is not present… no grapey, jammy characters at all, but rather a very pure red cherry fruit profile with a subtle leathery undertone that keeps this from seeming one-dimensional.
