The 2011 growing season was relatively warm in Austria, which perhaps helped this wine show a bit more generosity than usual, and the fact that it was made without fining or filtration likewise contributed to that outcome. Nevertheless, it remains admirably delicate in weight and overall assertiveness, though a very attractive spiciness provides a bit of added punch to enhance its versatility at the table. Biodynamically produced, this is very well done and quite fairly priced.
