Essentially Paraduxx’s "X2" is a Cabernet Sauvignon, raised to the second power if you will, by the inclusion of 8% Zinfandel, which pops up the acidity, rounds off the tannic structure a touch, and brightens the bold, concentrated character you expect from the best Duckhorn wines. Blackberry, black cherry, fall spice and vanilla are knit together well, and modestly charred oak enhances the finish. Enjoy now with a long decant, or age up to 12 years – longer if you dare!
