A complex, layered expression, featuring black cherry, sage, damp earth and a touch of pepper in the aroma profile. The palate follows suit, with lively acidity knitting the promised flavors into a long, intriguing glass of Anderson Valley. This will ride well alongside fish, pork or beef, and I’d lean into the herbs in the food prep. Another winner from Brooks Painter and his winemaking team.
