Merlot from Paso Robles has a tendency toward richness and body without much backbone. The Robert Hall is an exception to the norm, producing a beautifully structured Merlot from this vintage, the structure no doubt assisted by the addition of Cabernet Franc and Petite Sirah to the blend. This wine exhibits ripe aromas of plum and cherry, with a subtle note of wood spice. A platinum award-winner at the 2018 Critics Challenge International Wine & Spirits Competition.
