Carneros chardonnay is some of the finest in the U.S. and this vintage from Lloyd is one of the finest of the finest. This is one of the freshest and most well-balanced chardonnays I’ve tasted in some time. It also possesses exceptional fruit intensity that is marred in no way by the excessive use of oak. On the palate the wine is suave and oily, with aromas of lemon crème and spice, balanced nicely by mouth-watering acidity.
