One of the finest young California Pinots I have tasted this year, Gary Farrell’s Russian River Selection is wonderfully supple and refined on the palate. It tastes of cherry and red berry fruit to be sure, but it also enhances those flavors with compelling notes echoing spice, tobacco, and sweet wood. Nothing seems overdone, nothing out of place. The wine is simply seamless.
