A stellar wine that is both fresh and complex, St. Cosme offers intense, concentrated aromas and typical Syrah flavors that suggest black pepper and spice. The Barruol family has been making wine here in the heart of Gigondas since 1490. Remarkably versatile at the table, this is a wine to accompany tomato-based pasta dishes, game, or beef (I recently enjoyed it with beef tartare).
