A delightful bottle of port that runs right up to the raisin line without touching it, showcasing cassis, anise, soft oak spice and a touch of pepper. It’s on the dry side as ports go, with a little tannic structure and concentrated fruit carrying the day and toning down the sweetness, making it a perfect foil for bold cheeses and dried fruits and nuts. The price is sensational for a bottle of this quality. I’m not a huge port fan, but I love this!
