Sao Miguel Do Sul, Alentejano (Portugal) 2017

Jan 8, 2019

By Rich Cook

This is a fine value in a Portuguese blend, with deep black fruit, tar and brown spice aromas and flavors.  Attractively bright acidity and soft oak toast add interest, and supple tannins help hold everything together through the dark finish.   A fine cheese accompaniment, or a foil for wild game.  Contains 50% Arogonez, 30% Alicante Bouschet, 15% Trincadeira and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
