Winemaker Amy Butler’s Tempranillo/Carignan blend shows serious structure, deep black fruit and dry earth minerality and a savory note that’s unusual in this type of blend — but then again, the blend itself is unusual and this one makes a clear statement. I’m continually impressed by Amy’s ability to make wines that make me stop and think — and then drink — and think — and…. A Platinum Award winner at the 2019 Monterey International Wine Competition.
