For me, good Malbec is about the tension between berry fruit and meaty, savory character, and it’s delivered in spades in this budget friendly bottle. Both aroma and flavor profiles have got it, and it all stays together through a long finish. There’s a fair amount of oak influence showing at present, so age a while or decant well and serve with a peppered roast beef dish.
