Always the last of the Duckhorn Cabernet Sauvignon line to be released, a year behind the others, so as to tame the aggressive mountain tannin profile a bit. Good call here, as is the inclusion of 14% Merlot and a dash of Petit Verdot to soften and add some red fruit character to the blackberry, cassis and fall spice profile. It’s very approachable now, and will benefit from further aging.
