Saint Clair Family Estate, Marlborough (New Zealand) Sauvignon Blanc 2017

May 7, 2019

By Jessica Dupuy

A meticulously clean Sauvignon Blanc from Saint Clair Family Estate founders, Neal and Judy Ibbotson, who are notably among Marlborough’s pioneer winegrowers.  Sourced from Dillons Point in Marlborough’s Wairau Valley sub region, this wine opens with a rush of tropical fruit and characteristic herbaceousness.  The palate is juicy offering concentrated flavors of lemon peel, ripe white grapefruit, and a touch of salinity.  This wine radiates with vibrancy and tart, juicy appeal and would be perfect for fresh oysters or grilled shrimp.
