Calling this the “middle wine” of the Martini signature series doesn’t do it justice. Though it sits between its stable mates in price and appellation, it’s a beautiful counterpoint to them, which of course is the point in having a series. Here the focus is on red fruit, dried herbs, eucalyptus and a firm structure that suggests some further aging will enhance everything.
