This is a fleshy and deep Dolcetto — much more so than typical examples, belying the “little sweet one” name. I would guess a fair amount of stem inclusion during fermentation is adding complexity here, giving a peppery character that plays well off the cherry fruit. Americans will love the value this wine delivers.
