Saucelito Canyon’s Dos Mas is usually mainly Zinfandel, but this vintage is based on Grenache, with 35% Zinfandel and 15% Petite Sirah rounding out the mix. The Grenache shows well, with bright cherry fruit, white pepper and focused acidity, the other varieties adding structure and weight. This is built for beef — a seared salted sirloin sounds swell!
