A completely convincing Meursault from the outstanding Charmes cru, this is already delicious but destined to improve for at least a decade, probably longer. The bouquet is currently expressive of high-class oak above all, with toasty, spicy and nutty nuanced underlain by nascent fruit scents. The fruit moves forward in the mix on the palate, showing flavors reminiscent of apples and stone fruits with a notable edge of citrus. Substantial as Meursault should be, but definitely nimble and fresh, this is beautifully balanced, with fruit, oak, acidity and mineral notes all working together harmoniously. Gorgeous wine.
