Talley has been making Burgundy varietals for years, but in recent vintages it seems to have lost a little of its gravitas – still good, but like it is somewhere in transition, either in the vineyards or in the winery. At the same time, this one has lovely fruit aromas, is a little light in structure and has elegant cherry flavors and a lightly tangy finish. But it seems to drift a bit in mid-palate.
