The second vintage of this wine from the Pisoni brothers is another winner, showing characteristic Gamay aromas and flavors that always have me wondering why more California producers aren’t flocking to the variety. It is bright but not breezy, showing real depth, concentration and edge, thanks in part to partial whole cluster fermentation. Age this a bit to let a faint spritz integrate fully or enjoy now for all its youthful freshness. I recommend getting a few bottles so you can do both.
