Winemaker Molly Bohlman is on a roll with this site for Pinot Noir, and the 2018 keeps it going with a rich, earthy expression that shows black cherry, raspberry, cardamom, damp earth, toasty oak and focused acidity that already has things integrated well. A slow, deep aroma draw brings out a kirsch note, and the finish keeps pumping the mix of fruit and earth. Coastal acidity give a sturdy, age-worthy structure — which you might never appreciate when you consider how lovely it is right now. Drink it, age it — win win!
