This Bordeaux-inspired blend leans into the peppery side of the spectrum, and that pepper vibe contrasts the blackberry and plum fruit profile nicely. Add soft brown spice, and a moderate tannic grip, and you’ve got a fine foil for beef dishes. It’s not often I see a wine in this price range that is worthy of some additional bottle aging – I would go up to seven years or so for peak enjoyment.
