This is a tough neighborhood for reds, mostly Bordeaux-grape blends, and this rosso fits well into its class, though a tad pricey for what it delivers. From Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, in descending order, the wine is granular in texture with juicy flavors of blackberries and some pleasing savory notes. It is just a tad hot, but not too much for my palate, with gripping tannins.
