Here is another winner brought to you by Dan Goldfield’s minimalist approach to winemaking, one that in this case allows rich spice a place to park right alongside deep black cherry and cranberry fruit. The spice mix straddles a fine line between pie spice and an Asian apothecary aromatic vibe, and they work together seamlessly through a long, finessed finish. I can’t say enough about Dan’s ability to let a site speak clearly while giving it just the gentlest push toward greatness. Bravo!
