Gavi is an ancient town in the Piedmont region of Italy with an historical fortress perched above it. Gavi is a wine region of approximately 1500 hectares (3700 acres) of Cortese grapes surrounding the town of Gavi. Gavi is a wine from the Gavi region made from Cortese grapes. This Gavi from the Michele Chiarlo family is an excellent example of this delicious wine. Subtle citrus aromas with a whisper of fresh pine offers refreshing, bone- dry, citrus, white peach flavors with an almond note balanced with mouthwatering acidity. Great with fresh seafood.
